(between SW Taylor and SW Yamhill) on Saturday, 27 March between 10am and 4pm for
pre-race packet pick-up/registration.
DAY-OF-RACE REGISTRATION
Day-of-race Packet Pickup/Registration at Race Site (Portland International Raceway)
6:30am until 15 minutes to race time.
COURSES [back to top]
All events start and finish on North Broadacre St. just north of the MAX station
and the Portland International Raceway track. This is a unique course that takes
you along the backside of the PIR and adjacent to the Heron Lakes Golf course before
entering the PIR Racetrack itself at turn three (0.6 miles into either the 5K or
8K races). Now test your speed on the Portland International Raceway track itself
for the next 3.8 miles (the 8K event) or the next 1.9 miles (the 5K event) before
returning the final 0.6 miles back to the finish line. The 5K will travel once around
the PIR Racetrack while the 8K makes two loops. An aid station (water & electrolyte)
will be located at the point where you enter the racetrack. 5K athletes will visit
this station twice while the 8K athletes visit this station three times. A very
flat, fast, unique and beautiful course.
The Kid’s dash is a 1/2 mile loop that encompasses the finish area so that parents
& friends can view the youngsters at all times. They start & finish under the arch
just like the adult participants and their course is flat & fast

CHAMPIONCHIP TIMING
All competitors (runners & walkers) in the 5K and 8K will receive a Timing Chip
in their race packet. You must wear the Chip (per instructions) if you want to receive
your race time. Any participant who does not wear the Timing Chip will not receive
a finish result. Also, the Timing Chip is disposable so it does not need to be returned
at the conclusion of the event. If you do not wish to be timed, feel free to give
the Timing Chip back to the volunteer when picking up your packet.
